2016 Platte River Revival

On September 24th community volunteers converged upon Casper, Wyoming's Mike Lansing Field to take part in the Platte River Revival. The event, which is in its tenth year, is one of the top river restoration projects in North America. Although the day turned out to be unseasonably cold and wet, the community turned out in force to pick up trash from along the river bank and under the river surface.

Thanks to the community's hard work, this year's event collected more than 10,000 lbs of trash and debris from in and around the North Platte River. It is events like this that make me proud to call Casper, WY home; it really is a great place to live and work!
